The Grounds and Nature at Faysselle
Faysselle is set on the side of a valley, down a quiet dead-end lane. The property is set in twelve acres of mature gardens, fields and woodlands, with a water source, pond and stream all waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. Guests are welcome to explore the property at their leisure.
Take a walk down the valley, and enjoy the wild flowers (plenty of orchids in the field in the spring), birds (look out for golden oriole and hoopoe, as well as buzzards and kites) and maybe even a passing deer. Wild boar can also be seen in the fields at the end of summer, and red squirrels can be spotted amongst the trees. At the end of the day, why not sit out on your terrace with a glass of wine and take in the amazing starry skies and rural beauty of Faysselle.
Due to a lack of light pollution, the stars and moon are bright on clear nights, and we often see the International Space Station passing overhead. Scroll below for our night sky gallery.
When not out exploring this beautiful and relatively undiscovered region of France, our guests love to spend their time relaxing by the swimming pool. It is a generous 10.5m by 5.5m and has an additional shallow pool, with a waterfall feature. There are plenty of loungers on the extensive terracing around the pool, which has an alarm system for your safety.
To keep the youngsters (and the olders!) amused, we have a games area with table-football, mini-billiards, darts and a table-tennis table. Swings, badminton, swingball and boules are also available.
